Iowa football teased a special flyover for Saturday’s game against Iowa State.

The flyover will take place prior to kickoff over Kinnick Stadium. The Air Force will conduct the flyover that everyone in the stadium will observe.

Iowa posted the announcement of the flyover in a Twitter post. Iowa encouraged fans to keep an eye out on the sky for the special ceremony. This will be a great event for a special rivalry between Iowa and Iowa State.

In Week 1, Iowa held off an upset loss to South Dakota State. The offense struggled to score and was helped out by the defense and special teams. To get a win over Iowa State, the offense will need to get on the board.

Iowa quarterback Spencer Petras passed for 109 yards and 1 interception. Running back Leshon Williams rushed for 72 yards on 24 carries. If Petras and Williams can run the offense, the Hawkeyes should have a better day in Week 2.

Iowa State trounced Southeast Missouri State in the season opener and will look to carry the momentum over to this rivalry game. Iowa State quarterback Hunter Dekkers threw for 293 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 1 interception.

Saturday’s game between Iowa and Iowa State will start at 4 p.m. ET. The flyover will happen prior to the game.
