The game will showcase Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark, who is the frontrunner for National Player of the Year. Clark is averaging 27.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 8.3 assists per contest so far this season.
Clark put on a show the last time Iowa and Indiana met earlier this year. She scored 35 points and dished out 10 assists in a loss to the No. 2 Hoosiers in Bloomington.
“We’ve had our eye on this Indiana-Iowa matchup all season for women’s College GameDay as an opportunity to showcase these outstanding programs and top players like Caitlin Clark and MacKenzie Holmes,” ESPN vice president of production Patricia Lowry said in a release. “We’re thrilled to travel to Carver-Hawkeye Arena for the first time and we expect a great atmosphere with the way students and fans at Iowa support this program and this rivalry.”
Iowa is ranked No. 7 nationally entering this weekend’s slate. The game against Indiana will be the final home game of the year for the Hawkeyes.
