Iowa trolls Miami (OH) following season-opening victory

Winning is fun. It’s even more fun if you can take a bit of a jab at the team you just beat.

Iowa can check both of those boxes after Saturday night’s 38-14 victory over Miami (OH). It was an ugly first half, but the Hawkeyes were able to take care of business with a big second half in front of a home crowd.

After the game, Iowa decided to take some of the fun to Twitter. It had a subtle joke for the RedHawks with one tweet:

Well played, Iowa. Well played.

The Hawkeyes start the season 1-0 and will step into conference play next weekend. Iowa will host Rutgers in a B1G cross-division clash before playing rival Iowa State in Ames.

For now, Iowa is perfectly happy celebrating a 1-0 start.
