It’s football season.
Well, it’s just about to be football season in terms of playing actual games for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Coach Kirk Ferentz is entering his 20th season as coach and his group starts the 2018 season with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff against Northern Illinois on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.
The contest will be televised on BTN.
The Hawkeyes went 8-5 overall in 2017, but just 4-5 in Big Ten play. Ferentz met with the media on Tuesday for a press conference and discussed a number of different topics.
Linebacker play, how the offensive line will look and the way the program deals with walk-ons were all talked about, including the team’s first opponent in 2018.
You can find Ferentz’s entire transcript here.
