When you’re hot, you’re hot. Right now, Michigan’s recruiting is on fire.

The Wolverines already picked up a commitment from the top-rated center in the country, Cesar Ruiz, on Monday morning. They added another four-star lineman on Monday afternoon.

Deron Irving-Bey announced his verbal pledge to Michigan for the 2017 season. The four-star defensive end picked the Wolverines over the likes of Iowa, Maryland and Michigan State.

The Flint, Mich. native is the No. 9 strong-side defensive end and the No. 5 player in Michigan in the 2017 class.

The U.S. Army All-American’s commitment gave the Wolverines a clean sweep of the top five recruits in the state of Michigan. That also gave Michigan a pledge from eight of the state’s top 13 recruits.

Michigan is now up to No. 4 overall in the 2017 class rankings. The Wolverines trail only the likes of Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia.
