Isaiah Williams is ready to be the best wide receiver he can be for Illinois for the rest of the 2022 season.

Williams has been a key receiver for the Fighting Illini and will look to be a consistent offensive player for the team. Illinois holds a 2-1 record and is coming off a win over Virginia in Week 2. In the game, Williams had 3 catches for 19 receiving yards.

In 2022, Williams has 19 receptions, 157 receiving yards, and 1 touchdown. He is looking to be the best version of himself for the rest of the season. Williams talked about why he wants to be a complete player (Via 247Sports):

“My biggest thing is just being a complete player,” Williams said. “The biggest thing for me is that when my name is called just to make a play for my team. I kind of knew the play was coming [the stiff arm against Virginia]. I kinda knew I was going to have to make him miss, I was just happy that TD trusted me, he trusted me and threw the ball. I just got to make a play for him.”

Williams is in his sophomore season and is hoping to be a primary target for Tommy DeVito. Illinois will host Chattanooga on Thursday.
