Isiah Pacheco, former Rutgers RB, leads all rookies in several impressive stats

Isiah Pacheco, a former Rutgers running back, topped all rookie running backs in multiple categories in Week 1.
Pacheco made his NFL debut and put on a great showing for the Kansas City Chiefs. In Week 1, the Chiefs dominated the Arizona Cardinals in a 44-21 win.

Pacheco helped the Chiefs’ running game with 12 carries, 62 yards, and 1 touchdown. The 7th-round draft pick earned his spot on the field and became a presence in Kansas City’s rushing attack. He led all rookie running backs and his success helped the Chiefs win the game.
He flew under the radar in the NFL draft but people will start to pay attention to Pacheco. He deserved to be drafted and his time at Rutgers proved it.
While at Rutgers, Pacheco rushed for 2,442 yards in 4 seasons. His season high in rushing was 729 rushing yards in 2019. He had a similar season in 2021 with 647 yards and 5 touchdowns. Pacheco was an important part of Rutgers’ offense during his time in college.
For his NFL career, Pacheco will have an opportunity to helped Patrick Mahomes win games for the Chiefs. Look for Pacheco to build on his Week 1 performance as the season moves along.
Pacheco will be back in action on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Chargers.
