Jabrill Peppers only spent two years with Jim Harbaugh at Michigan, but it was long enough to understand what the head coach was all about. It’s safe to say he’s a pretty big fan of his college coach.

Speaking on the Moose and Maggie show on WFAN this week, Peppers was asked if he believed Harbaugh is the right man for the job in Ann Arbor. The former Wolverine had nothing but praise for his former coach.

“I haven’t really been paying attention, but I can say that he gets the best out of his players,” Peppers said. “He’s a great leader and a great coach. But I’ve been more focused on what we have going on [in New York] and how we can get things turned around here. I would definitely have to look more into that to give you a more in-depth and detailed answer, but from my years of playing there he’s a great leader, great coach and he knows how to get the most out of his players.”

Harbaugh has enjoyed a lot of success since taking over at Michigan. In five seasons at his alma mater, Harbaugh has led the Wolverines to a 47-18 record, which includes a 32-12 mark in B1G competition.

Michigan has hit the 10-win mark three times and has won 8 games every single season.

Still, Michigan has failed to beat Ohio State (0-5) under Harbaugh and has not reached the B1G Championship Game yet. Those are the two biggest criticisms for Harbaugh and the Wolverines, despite the mostly-successful five seasons.
