Jack Sanborn is “that guy.” At least he is for the Chicago Bears this season.
Undrafted out of Wisconsin, Sanborn has become an overnight sensation for the Bears’ defense since taking over for former 1st-round pick Roquan Smith. Smith was traded to the Baltimore Ravens at the NFL deadline in exchange for a 2023 2nd and 5th-round pick.
While Smith might be on a winning roster, Sanborn is winning over the hearts of Chicago. In the last 2 games, the former Badger has been on a tear, recording 19 tackles and 2 sacks.

In Sunday’s 31-30 loss to the Detroit Lions, Sanborn totaled a career-high 12 tackles and 2 sacks. According to Jacob Infante of Windy City Gridiron, it took the rookie 25 fewer games than Smith to complete the challenge.
Here's a #Bears stat I'm sure I'll get reasonable responses to: Roquan Smith had his first 10-tackle, multi-sack game in his 27th start.
Jack Sanborn did it on Sunday in just his second career start.

This season, Sanborn has totaled 24 total tackles to go along with 2 sacks. During his 4 seasons in Madison, Sanborn recorded 228 total tackles, 29 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, and 4 interceptions.
The Bears will travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons this Sunday at 1 p.m ET.
