Jack Sawyer confirmed he will be playing in the Cotton Bowl in a fiery fashion.
While meeting with the media, Sawyer announced he will be suiting up for Ohio State’s game against Missouri. He cited a need to “go out the right way” with a win but also clarified he’s undecided on whether to enter the 2024 NFL Draft or return to school.
As for the narrative that certain bowl games outside the College Football Playoff are “meaningless,” Sawyer wasted no time pushing back with a fiery response. The star defender said that idea is “bullshit.”
Sawyer remains undecided on whether he will enter the NFL draft. He said many of Ohio State’s draft-eligible players will make their decisions on that in the coming weeks.

Sawyer joins a growing list of Buckeyes with plans to play in the Cotton Bowl that includes Donovan Jackson, Emeka Egbuka, Denzel Burke, Tyleik Williams and Jordan Hancock. Most of those players are undecided on the 2024 season, but linebacker Cody Simon already announced he’ll return for another year.
A decision from Marvin Harrison Jr., TreVeyon Henderson and Cade Stover has not been revealed yet. Harrison recently said he was undecided on both the bowl game and the NFL Draft.
