Rucker is a true freshman who had several SEC offers during the recruiting process. He was even committed to Florida until January of 2020.
According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Rucker was the No. 52 receiver and the No. 311 overall player in the class of 2021.
Rucker had three catches for 84 yards in this game.
This is a big win for Deion Sanders’ Jackson State program. Sanders’ son, Shedeur Sanders, scored his team’s only touchdown. That score came on the ground, but Sanders also completed 18-of-24 passes for 221 yards.
Jackson State hosts Tennessee State in Week 2.
