Jacoby Windmon says fight at Michigan is ‘something I have to live with’

Jacoby Windmon enters the 2023 season, hoping to find the defensive playmaking ability he displayed last season for Michigan State.

In 8 games last season, Windmon led the Spartans with 5.5 sacks and added 10.5 TFL, 6 forced fumbles and 2 pass breakups. However, Windmon was suspended for the remainder of the season for his role in the tunnel altercation at Michigan.

Windmon made his first appearance at a press conference Monday since his 2022 suspension. He addressed the altercation, saying he has apologized to Michigan and continues to try to learn from the situation.

“I would never say it’s behind me because it’s something I have to live with the rest of my life,” said Windmon. He also said “everyone goes through adversity,” but everything is about how well you can bounce back from it.

Jacoby Windmon is meeting with the media the afternoon and said last year’s incident at Michigan is something he has to live with for the rest of his life.

Windmon now gets his shot to move forward from the incident and try to be a leader for Michigan State’s defense this fall.
