Jake Moody went down the field for a big tackle to start the second half against Penn State. This was the first tackle in his five years at Michigan.
Michigan beat Penn State 41-17. Moody set the tone for the second half with a nice tackle on the Penn State returner. Moody accounted for 15 points in the win, hitting 4 field goals and 3 extra points.
On Wednesday, Moody broke down the big tackle in Michigan’s Inside The Play on Twitter:
“It wasn’t my best kick and I knew that coming right off my foot. Conditions were pretty tough and I had to run down the field because I kinda screwed the coverage unit up. Saw the returned muff the catch, and I thought we had a good shot at recovering it.I got my butt down the field and saw a hole open up, we call it the elevator doors. Took my shot, hit the doors and had to go low on him since he was a pretty big guy. That was my first tackle in however many years so I got a little excited.”
