James Franklin as fired up as ever leaving Kinnick Stadium with win

Escaping Kinnick Stadium with a five-point victory, James Franklin was pumped up following No. 10 Penn State’s win over No. 17 Iowa on Saturday.

Freshman Noah Cain led the way for the Nittany Lions in this one with 102 yards rushing and a score. Redshirt sophomore KJ Hamler caught seven passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.

Stuttering their way to 294 total yards, senior quarterback Nate Stanley connected on 25-43 pass attempts for the Hawkeyes. Freshman Tyler Goodson paced Iowa with 35 yards out of the backfield.

Improving to 6-0, Penn State hosts No. 16 Michigan on October 19 (7:30PM ET, ABC).

Their second straight loss, No. 17 Iowa now stands at 4-2. Looking to get back in the win column, the teams hosts Purdue on Saturday (12:00PM ET, ESPN2).
