James Franklin talked about a number of topics at Wednesday’s presser. He discussed Keon Wylie and the playing time of other young players on the team.
Wylie appeared in his first game on Saturday since the Central Michigan game in Week 4. Franklin hinted that Wylie might be seeing some more time down the road.
“He played this past weekend,” said Franklin. “He’s a guy that could factor in. He’s starting to put on some size which was a bit of an issue when he showed up.”

The Penn State HC was also asked about how the team has handled playing young players. Players like Drew Allar and others have seen playing time this year compared to last season.
“I think we’ve done well with that,” said Franklin. “We played a lot of guys early on. Whether it’s seconds or thirds playing considerable reps.”
