James Franklin has Penn State clicking with a nice rebound since a loss to Ohio State. Next up is a date with Michigan in a game that has increased stakes and plenty of drama involved.

At his Monday press conference, Franklin was asked about the sign-stealing drama involving Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan program. The head coach admitted the questions are going to come, but he’s focused on everything internally related to Penn State.

Franklin did say the team always needs a plan for in-game communication but indicated “less is more” when it comes to comments on that particular topic.

“Yeah, I know these questions are going to come this week. I’m going to focus on the things that we can control,” said Franklin. “We always have to have a plan, and I think I’ve alerady kind of covered this and talked about this in terms of what we do and how we communicate to our players and how we communicate to our team during games. But, I’m going to leave it at that, because less is more.”

As of Monday morning, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported any action from the B1G regarding Michigan is unlikely to come in the next 48 hours. It is also expected that Michigan is preparing for a legal battle if the B1G tries to discipline Harbaugh or the team prior to the completion of the NCAA investigation.
