James Franklin, Penn State savagely trolled over wacky 2-point conversion try

James Franklin and his Penn State program had a moment to forget Saturday as the Nittany Lions lost in another big-game environment.

This time, Michigan rolled into Beaver Stadium and shut down Penn State with a 24-15 win. While the Nittany Lions scored late, Blake Corum effectively delivered a dagger to make it 24-9 with 4 minutes left in the game.

Following the late touchdown for Penn State, Franklin’s team went for a 2-point conversion. If converted, the Nittany Lions would have a 7-point deficit, but the decision alone was questionable for some fans instead of kicking to make it an 8-point game.

As for the play itself, Penn State used a wild formation. Every blocker was positioned at the top of the formation while the eligible receivers were closer to the ball. Needless to say, it did not work out with Michigan easily covering the would-be receivers.
