James Franklin and Penn State won by 9, but it was a stressful afternoon for the Nittany Lions.
Few teams are more dangerous that one with nothing to lose. And Indiana played the Nittany Lions as tough as anyone this season. Penn State and Indianan were tied at 24-all late into the 4th quarter Saturday afternoon from Happy Valley.
But eventually, Penn State’s talent caught up with the Hoosiers. Drew Allar, just after throwing his first interception of the season, connected with KeAndre Lambert-Smith for a 57-yard touchdown. KLS had to tightrope the sideline but was able to keep his balance to give PSU a 7-point lead.

Franklin was asked about the key TD connection following the game. He kept repeating the same word in his answer to how huge it was for the Nittany Lions.
“Awesome.”

The Nittany Lions have struggled to hit the deep ball this year. If you pay attention closely, you can even hear Franklin throw a bit of a jab at a reporter who baffled him with a question regarding Penn State’s inability to push the deep ball.
Penn State is now 7-1 on the season and will face off against Maryland next week in College Park.
