James Franklin provided an injury update for defensive end Chop Robinson, who had to be carted off the field during Penn State’s matchup against Ohio State last Saturday.

Robinson is one of the top players for a strong Penn State defense. He has 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble and a pass deflection this season.

Franklin told reporters Tuesday that he doesn’t see Robinson’s injury as a season-ending one, though he remained non-committal on a timetable for return. He also did not divulge exactly what kind of injury Robinson is dealing with, per reports.

Franklin finished the thought by saying “Hopefully we’ll be getting Chop back here soon.”

Penn State looks to get back on track with a return back home to face off against Indiana. The Nittany Lions then travel to College Park for a battle against Maryland before Michigan comes to Beaver Stadium on November 11.

Week 9’s matchup against the Terps is set to kick off at Noon on CBS.
