James Franklin and Sean Clifford may have won last year’s meeting with Auburn, but now they have to do it again at Jordan-Hare this season. Onward Sports posted about how they have been preparing for the game in practice.
Franklin and Clifford confirmed that the team has been working with silent snap counts at practice. Franklin even said that Penn State didn’t wait until this week to start working on it, and has been factoring it in since last week.
“We didn’t wait until this week to get started with it,” said Franklin. “We went all-silent count all last week in practice.”
If the game is anything like it was last season, it should be very entertaining to watch. Penn State came out on top 28-20 against Auburn last time.
Franklin is 1-0 against Auburn since his first season at Penn State in 2014. He’ll be looking to make it 2-0 after Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
Franklin on preparing for a tough environment: “We didn’t wait until this week to get started with it…we went all-silent count all last week in practice.”
