When Andy Janovich was at Nebraska, he had an army of supporters.

The former walk-on became a fan favorite in Lincoln because of his work ethic, which earned him valuable touches as a senior in 2015. That led to him getting drafted by the Denver Broncos in the sixth round last year.

It turns out Janovich’s army of supporters are in Denver, too. Specifically, the Denver coaching staff.

Broncos special coaches coordinator Brock Olivo was asked about Janovich (AKA Jano) and his chances of making the 53-man roster.

His answer was perfect:

“Jano — love Jano. Jano, to me, if we had 22 Janos we would be alright,” Olivo said via Broncos Wire. “He’s tough, he never says a word and never complains. He just does his job. He’s the first one in the meeting every day. He’s on it X’s and O’s wise. He knows what to do, he’s tough and he finishes.

“I love the guy if you could tell. He’s going to be a four-phaser for us. He’s a really good football player.”

Janovich, just like he did at Nebraska, earned high praise because of his work as a special teams contributor. Add that to the fact that Janovich was Pro Football Focus’ fifth-best graded blocking fullback, and it’s no surprise to see Olivo gush about him.

He hasn’t scored since his first career NFL carry, but Janovich is going to get plenty more chances to make plays in Denver.
