Former Maryland corner back and current Los Angeles Charger J.C. Jackson will miss the rest of the season, per reports. Jackson was carted off the field in Sunday’s 37-23 loss to the Seahawks with a dislocated knee.

The fifth year player is believed to have a ruptured patellar tendon and the Chargers’ head coach Brandon Staley confirmed Monday that he will miss the rest of the season.

The news comes after the Chargers’ shaky start to the season. They are off to a 4-3 start, winning three in a row before becoming plagued with several injuries in Sunday’s game.

Before the injury, Jackson recorded 12 tackles on the season. In his 2 seasons with Maryland, Jackson recorded 80 tackles and 4 interceptions.
