JC Jackson — star cornerback for the Los Angeles Chargers — left Sunday’s game with an ugly knee injury. Jackson reportedly suffered a dislocated kneecap in Sunday’s 37-23 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
The former Maryland Terrapin cornerback did not play the remainder of the Chargers-Seahawks contest on Sunday following the injury. Jackson was carted off in the second quarter after dislocating his right kneecap.
The 2021 Pro Bowler in his first season with the Chargers was injured jumping up on a 23-yard touchdown pass intended for Seahawks’ Marquise Goodwin. For the past four seasons, Jackson played for the New England Patriots securing a total of 25 interceptions, tying for the most by any player in the NFL in their first four seasons.

It was reported that the Chargers’ team trainers placed an air cast on his right leg to stabilize the knee. Following the brutal defeat, Chargers’ head coach Brandon Staley said that Jackson suffered a “significant injury.”
Jackson signed a five-year, $82.5M deal with the Chargers after he and the Patriots could not reach a deal.
There is no word on what will happen with Jackson following this injury. There will be more information on the status of Jackson once the MRI information becomes available.
