JD Spielman comes down with twice-tipped ball for incredible TD grab

This may not be the prettiest pass Adrian Martinez has ever thrown, but it still worked out okay for the Cornhuskers.

Already up big over Maryland, Martinez dropped back and tried to find JD Spielman over the middle of the field. Unfortunately, he initially overthrew Spielman with the pass.

One Terrapin defender had a read on the ball and went for the interception, but all he could was tip the ball in the air. It bounced toward another Terrapin player, but he could not corral the ball either. After that player hit it in the air, Spielman was under it and in beautiful position to easily grab the touchdown.

Needless to say, this probably isn’t how Nebraska drew up the play:
