Purdue is up to 25 commits in its 2019 recruiting class after flipping a Michigan linebacker from Wester Michigan.

Monday, the Boilermakers landed 3-star linebacker Jacob Wahlberg, who had previously committed to the Broncos. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound linebacker was an All-State selection in Michigan this past season.

Wahlberg took an official visit to West Lafayette over the weekend.

According to 247Sports, Wahlberg plans to sign with the Boilermakers on Wednesday, the first day of the Early Signing Period.

Purdue currently has the 25th ranked recruiting class for 2019, and sits at No. 5 in the B1G.

Jeff Brohm is working on his third recruiting class with the Boilermakers, which has gotten progressively better each season. He also guided Purdue to a 6-6 season and a second straight bowl appearance in 2018.

The Boilers will play Auburn in the Music City Bowl in Nashville on Dec. 28.
