Jeff Brohm and Purdue are gearing up for a familiar foe in Iowa. The Boilermakers have won two straight vs. the Hawkeyes, including a brilliant performance by Purdue in Kinnick Stadium during the 2021 season.

Heading into the Week 10 matchup between the two sides, there’s a slightly different element in play this season. Charlie Jones and Tyrone Tracy — current members of the Boilermaker offense — were on the Iowa sideline last season.

During his Monday press conference, Brohm downplayed the significance of that duo going up against their former team and teammates this weekend. According to Tom Dienhart, Brohm called it “less of a big deal” than people will think.

Whether or not that proves true remains to be seen, but Jones and Tracy will certainly hope for big games against the Hawkeyes. Jones has been phenomenal with 72 catches for 840 yards and 9 receiving touchdowns as one of the best receiving threats in the country.

Tracy has been less utilized this season but does have 235 yards of offense for Purdue this season.
