One of the hottest coaching names in the country has to be Purdue’s Jeff Brohm.
If you’re listening to sports talk radio, or browsing any sports site on the Internet, you’ve seen the rumors. Brohm leaving Purdue for Louisville is the talk of the speculative world.
And, that’s exactly what it is: speculative. On Thursday afternoon, Dan Dakich, who has called Big Ten basketball games in the past, tweeted out that Brohm was taking the Louisville job and would be announced as head coach on Nov. 26.
This was according to his sources:
Breaking News…Jeff Brohm will be announced as The University of Louisville Head Football Coach on Monday November 26th according to my sources…
— Dan Dakich (@dandakich) November 15, 2018
Brohm, a few hours later, responded:
Purdue coach Jeff Brohm addresses Louisville speculation. https://t.co/jHoYlsMmxq
— Mike DeFabo (@MikeDeFabo) November 15, 2018
Brohm says that rumor is completely false. Nothing more to see.
We’ll see in time, though, whether or not that rumor is false.
