Jeff Brohm has announced some injury updates for some key players ahead of Purdue’s matchup with Nebraska.
Running back King Doerue will be evaluated before the game. Doerue entered the season as the starter and proved to be a solid red zone back in the team’s first two games with 3 scores before going down with an injury early in Week 2.
Devin Mockobee and Dylan Downing had been filling in nicely as a committee, but Downing went down with a foot injury last week against Maryland.
Linebacker O.C. Brothers will also be out of the game and hasn’t played since the FAU game. Wide receiver Elijah Canion will be sidelined in Week 7.
Canion made an appearance in the season opener vs. Penn State but has been sidelined since with a knee injury and it is unclear when he will return. The junior transferred from Auburn this past offseason and was a potential candidate to start despite the limited playing time he has received in his career so far.
Jeff Brohm says RB King Doerue will be a game-time decision. If he can't go, Devin Mockobee, Kobe Lewis and Tyrone Tracy will carry load at RB
LB O.C. Brothers will be out for second game in a row
WR Elijah Canion is out
