The endless question of whether Rondale Moore will suit up for Purdue in 2020 continues.
Once again, Moore was nowhere to be found in Saturday’s game against Northwestern. After the game, reporters continued to hurl questions at Boilermaker head coach Jeff Brohm about Moore and what his status is in 2020.
#Purdue HC Jeff Brohm on Rondale Moore’s status:

Besides Moore not being on the field, we’ve yet to receive a clear answer of WHY he is not playing. The program refuses to disclose why Moore is not playing. This is probably the most information we’ve gotten about Moore since the season has started.
Brohm on Rondale Moore: “Well, he's not ready to play. I think he's working hard to get back. We’re always hoping to get him back. But I'm not gonna put someone on the field before they're ready to play. So, as soon as he's fully healthy ready to go, he’ll be on the field."

Purdue fans are definitely in the right for demanding answers as to why Moore isn’t playing. In 2018, Boilermaker fans saw the vast potential of Moore as he caught 114 passes for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns.
His production did take a dip in 2019 as he struggled with injuries while catching 29 passes for 387 yards and two touchdowns.
Thankfully for Purdue, wideout David Bell has established himself as a top-flight wideout by catching 22 passes for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2020 through four games.
On Saturday, however, you could tell how much more the Boilermaker offense could do if Bell and Moore were working side-by-side. Bell is starting to receive more attention from opposing defenses, which makes the job for Bell and quarterback Aidan O’Connell that much more difficult.
The season is starting to get away from Moore. You have to wonder if at some point in the next week or so, it becomes a matter of you’re playing or you’re not.
