Purdue’s bowl hopes were dashed last weekend with a loss to Wisconsin, but the Boilermakers still have an opportunity to still salvage the season. Beating rival Indiana and retaining the Old Oaken Bucket would be the marquee moment for Jeff Brohm and company.
Saturday, Purdue hosts Indiana in the season finale, trying to rattle off a third straight win over the Hoosiers. Brohm has defeated the in-state rival in his first two years, both times locking up a bowl berth with the victories. While the postseason may not be on the line, Brohm understands it’s still an important game for bragging rights.
Brohm on Bucket Game: It's an important game. Need to do best to finish season off. More attacking on defense than in past.

Purdue will have its hands full with an Indiana team that comes into West Lafayette with a 7-4 record and a bowl bid locked up. The Hoosiers have been able to take care of business against solid teams in the conference this season and is looking to get its first win in the series since 2016.
Brohm also talked about what makes Indiana such a tough team to prepare for on both sides of the football.
Brohm on defense: Need to do better job of putting our players in position to win. This team will spread you out and throw on the perimeter.

Brohm on IU defense: More of attacking style. Play down hill. They attack. Do more things on defense.

Brohm on IU offense: They have opened things up quite a bit. They spread the field. Get it to playmakers. Opened playbook up more this year.
