After taking down the No. 2 team in the country Saturday, Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm looks ahead to this week’s game but also reflects on last Saturday’s upset win over No. 2 Iowa.
Purdue’s win over Iowa has pushed the Boilermakers into the Top 25, a position they haven’t been in for 14 years, but it was nice to see according to the coach.
Brohm on being ranked for the 1st time in 14 years:
"It's great for our program and great for our fans. But we've got to move on."— mike carmin (@mike_carmin) October 18, 2021
In the game Saturday, Brohm used a three-quarterback system that worked and it doesn’t look like he will be changing that soon. Aidan O’Connell got the start, while Jack Plummer and Austin Burton made contributions.
Brohm on 3 QBs: "All give us certain elements to help us win. We have to continue to execute and make plays"

Brohm also discussed the health of running back Zander Horvath and defensive end DaMarcus Mitchell. Horvath, who has been out for weeks, doesn’t look like he will be making a comeback any time soon.

Brohm ended his presser by talking about former Purdue standout, now assistant coach, Ron English. The Boilers’ secondary has seen major improvement from last year.
Brohm said he tried to hire Ron English last year.
