Jeff Brohm updates multiple injuries including key TEs ahead of Michigan State game

With the B1G West still up for grabs, Purdue now moves on to No. 3 Michigan State. However, it won’t get any easier for the Boilermakers as they will likely be without some key players.
Jeff Brohm updated the injury report after practice on Thursday. Purdue is currently 3rd in the B1G West at 5-3. Only No. 21 Wisconsin (5-3) and No. 20 Minnesota (6-2) are ahead of the Boilermakers on their side of the conference.
The Boilermakers are going to be pretty slim at the tight end position against the Spartans, according to Brohm’s update. Starting tight end Payne Durham is injured again. Durham already had a concussion following the Illinois game in Week 4, and looks like he is dealing with an undisclosed injury that he suffered during the Nebraska game in Week 8.
Garrett Miller is still recovering from an undisclosed injury that he got during Week 6 in the Iowa game. Brohm listed Miller as having “a slight chance” to go against Michigan State.

Brohm also stated that the status of defensive end Kydran Jenkins is not optimistic, but is hopeful that defensive end DaMarcus Mitchell will play. Tackle Greg Long should also be good to go according to Brohm.
The Boilermakers (5-3) and No. 3 Spartans meet Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
