Jerry Kill knows how special football is in Nebraska.
Now the offensive coordinator at Rutgers, Kill was asked about the culture of Huskers football, especially after the loss to Northern Illinois last week. Kill, having coached at Minnesota for five seasons, understands that it’s more than a game in Lincoln.
Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald captured some quotes from the Rutgers offensive coordinator, who had nothing but great things to say about Nebraska football, the culture and the fans.

Despite a disappointing start to the season, Nebraska fans are regarded as some of the most passionate in college football. Kill’s comments pretty much reinforce that belief.
Rutgers travels to Nebraska this Saturday as both teams open B1G play. The game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and will air on BTN.
