Jesse Minter had plenty of reasons to be feeling good after Michigan’s 30-24 win vs. Ohio State in The Game. After all, the defensive coordinator helped orchestrate the Wolverine defense, including a pair of key takeaways.

The first big play in the game belonged to Minter’s defense with Will Johnson intercepting Kyle McCord deep in Ohio State territory. The unit also sealed the victory with Rod Moore picking off McCord with less than a minute to go to end the drive of the Buckeyes.

After the win, Minter did not waste any time. A video was captured of the DC walking across the field to wave goodbye to Ohio State as Ryan Day and the dejected Buckeyes headed back up the Michigan Stadium tunnel.

Along with the interceptions of McCord, Michigan’s defense also held Ohio State’s ground game in check. TreVeyon Henderson was limited to 60 yards rushing and 3.2 yards per carry while the Buckeyes averaged just 3.8 yards per carry as a team.

It’s certainly the kind of performance Minter can be proud of, and he made sure to provide one final parting blow to Ohio State.
