Jim Harbaugh has addressed the starting quarterback issue in every media availability he’s been in since last season’s College Football Playoff appearance.
It seems like that anyway. Harbaugh is sticking with his original plan for JJ McCarthy to start against Hawai’i this Saturday after Cade McNamara started last week against Colorado State.
“We’ve plowed this ground as thoroughly as it can be plowed,” Harbaugh told reporters Monday. “Dating back to the summer when you asked the question I said, ‘yeah one could start, the other could start or it could be a combination of both, that’s just the options. Happy that we’ve still got another week to look at it.”
Harbaugh went on to say he would prefer one starter going into Michigan games moving forward, but he wants to see how Saturday plays out.
