Jim Harbaugh announced as finalist for Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year

Jim Harbaugh is looking to add another trophy to his collection this season.
On Friday, it was announced that Harbaugh was a finalist for the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year award. The prize is awarded each year to a “Division I Football Bowl Subdivision head coach whose team excels on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.”
The recipients of the award are chosen by a committee that is comprised of college football pundits and all previous recipients of the award. The trophy is named for legendary Georgia Tech head coach Bobby Dodd, who prized scholarship, leadership and integrity both on and off the field.

Harbaugh’s Wolverines have certainly taken care of business on the field, where they have amassed a perfect 13-0 record this season. Michigan also claimed the B1G trophy after defeating Purdue 43-22 in the conference championship.
The Wolverines will face TCU at the upcoming Fiesta Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff on Dec. 31 at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN.
