Jim Harbaugh is on the radar of the Los Angeles Chargers, according to Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz.

Schultz stated that it’s unclear if Harbaugh’s interest is mutual with the Michigan head coach having to coach in the College Football Playoff soon. The Wolverines are set to face Alabama in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day. It will be the 1st time that the 2 programs have played each other since the Citrus Bowl at the end of the 2019 season.

Harbaugh last had a stint in the NFL from 2011-2014 with the San Francisco 49ers. He would then leave the franchise in December 2014 to become the coach at Michigan.

The Chargers recently let go of former head coach Brandon Staley and General Manager Tom Telesco after the most recent 63-21 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football. Harbaugh has ties to the franchise after playing quarterback for the San Diego Chargers from 1999-2000.

Harbaugh and Michigan are going to remain focused on beating Alabama in Pasadena for now. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET on ESPN.
