Jim Harbaugh is feeling good after Michigan rolled to its 10th straight win to open the season Saturday. After the game, Harbaugh addressed the makeup of the game plan from the Wolverines.

Harbaugh admitted that Michigan opted to go to the ground more than through the air. The Wolverines carried the ball 49 times while attempting just 20 passes in the 34-3 win over Nebraska.

According to Harbaugh, that type of work is something “George Patton would be proud of.”

Whether or not Patton would enjoy the performance is unclear, but it’s no surprise Harbaugh was a big fan. Utilizing the ground game allowed Michigan to hold the ball for over 35 minutes in the win against Nebraska.

The ground game was also proving to be effective against the Huskers. Blake Corum led the way with 28 carries for 162 yards and a touchdown in the win.
