Jim Harbaugh and Michigan are B1G champions for the 3rd year in a row after defeating Iowa on Saturday. The Wolverines have locked up a spot in the College Football Playoff and possibly will be the No. 1 team on Sunday thanks to Georgia’s loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game hours prior.
“It makes me feel super great,” Harbaugh told FOX’s Joel Klatt after the game. “There’s no coach who could have it better than to have these coaches and these players and this staff.”
Harbaugh then broke out a familiar refrain from his time as the Wolverines’ head coach.
“I got one question for you Michigan nation. Who’s got it better than us?” he yelled, with players and fans replying, “Nobody!”
Michigan is headed to its 3rd straight Playoff. It will look to break a stretch of defeats in the semifinals, 1st against Georgia in 2021 and later against TCU a season later. Its last national championship was in 1997.
