Michigan needed Week 2 to come.

Week 1 against Notre Dame left a sour taste in the team’s mouth and Jim Harbaugh caught plenty of blame leading up to the game against Western Michigan. The Wolverines responded with a 49-3 win over the Broncos.

Michigan, who is now 1-1 on the season, ranks No. 19 in the latest AP top 25 poll.

Next up for the Wolverines is a matchup with SMU. Michigan will be at home.

Each week, Harbaugh talks with the media during a press conference and he talked about not just what has happened to this point in the season, but injuries and player developments as well.

“A couple of throws Shea made — the one he made to his left to Oliver — that was a high level, unbelievable play,” Harbaugh said. “The touchdown pass to Donovan really stood out as a great play. That wasn’t coaching.”
