Jim Harbaugh says ‘throw out the records’ in this Saturday’s Michigan-Michigan State matchup

While Michigan has recovered from its early-season struggles, Michigan State entered a mid-season swoon and hasn’t recovered. The Spartans have lost four straight since suffering an embarrassing defeat against Ohio State on Oct. 5.
But Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh implied that’s not going to matter much, saying everyone can “throw out the records,” when the two teams meet this weekend.

Michigan enters this Saturday 7-2 and winners in five of its last six contests. Michigan State sits at 4-5 and needs to win two of its last three to be bowl eligible.
But Harbaugh called Spartans coach Mark Dantonio “a master motivator” especially for what he also named a “huge, big game.”

Michigan has won two of the last three matchups in the rivalry, but the Spartans won the last two matchups in Ann Arbor, and dating back to 2008, Michigan State is 8-3 in the rivalry.
The Wolverines will host the Spartans at the Big House at 12 pm ET on Saturday.
