Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines will take on a familiar foe when it travels to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl on Dec. 29.

Michigan will take on Florida for the third time in four seasons under Harbaugh. The Wolverines finished the season 10-2 while the Gators ended the year at 9-3. Now, the two will clash in Atlanta for the right to end the 2018 campaign on a positive note.

Harbaugh says it’s a great opportunity for his team to move past the loss to Ohio State.

“This team has overcome every adversity. Work just isn’t done yet,” Harbaugh said. “Looking forward to playing in the ball game.”

The Wolverines notched their third 10-win season in four years, but fell short of reaching its goal of winning a B1G title. Still, Harbaugh and Co. secured impressive wins over Michigan State, Wisconsin and Penn State during its “Revenge Tour.”

Now, Michigan has an opportunity to add another quality win to end the year and hit the 11-win mark for the first time since 2011.

Michigan owns the all-time series against Florida 4-0. The first matchup during the Harbaugh era came in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl following the 2015 season, a game the Wolverines won 41-7. The two teams also battled in the season opener in 2017, another win for UM by a score of 33-17.

The other two meetings between the two programs came in the Capital One Bowl (2008) and the Outback Bowl (2003).

Harbaugh also mentioned that star defensive lineman Rashan Gary will not play in the Peach Bowl. Gary announced last week that he will skip his senior season in Ann Arbor and pursue a career in the NFL.
