Jim Knowles spoke with media Tuesday afternoon to discuss Ohio State’s penultimate matchup of the regular season against Minnesota.
The Buckeyes are fresh off a massive win over Michigan State, 38-3. Knowles’ defensive unit allowed just 182 total yards, including just 88 through the air.
The Gophers, like every team in the B1G West this season, have struggled offensively. They’re averaging just 22 points per game this season compared to Ohio State’s mark of 33 points per game.
They are playing very well on 4th down this season though, converting on 12 of their 14 attempts so far this year.
Here’s what Knowles had to say about the Gophers:
🗣️Coach Knowles on the challenge that Minnesota presents:
“They’re the best 4th down conversion team in the country…I think they do a good job of managing the game, controlling the ball and taking the play clock down. We have to stay efficient.” pic.twitter.com/rnPU59sbXN
