Jim Knowles proud of DB Denzel Burke’s ‘grit’ despite injury issues

Jim Knowles has had some injuries done to his defensive backs this season. Denzel Burke is one player that has impressed Knowles with his toughness per Griffin Strom of Eleven Warriors.
Burke has played through a hand injury recently and showed just how tough he can be. Knowles liked how he “showed a lot of grit” in doing so. Knowles also stated that Burke has earned playing time despite some mistakes that he has made this year.

Burke has appeared in four games so far. The Wisconsin game is the only game that he hasn’t played in yet. Through four games Burke has 3 solo and 4 assisted tackles.
If Ohio State fans were wondering what Knowles likes to see out of his corners, this is it. The Buckeyes just can’t get lucky enough to have all of their corners be healthy at one time it seems.
Fortunately for Ohio State, players like J.K Johnson and others have been able to step in for those who have gotten injured.
