Things are getting weird at the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl.

The game has been entertaining enough, with Utah State taking a 14-10 lead into the halftime break, but it’s the bowl’s mascot that drew the attention of social media.

The bowl game is in its first year of existence, and it largely feels like a not-so-serious entry into the larger college football postseason.

“Ever since I was 52, which was last year, I have dreamed of having a college bowl game named after me,” the late-night talk show host told the Associated Press.

Well, now he has a camel named after him, too.

The internet isn’t quite sure what to make of it.

So… I guess that’s where we’re at.

The “we need more bowls, not less” community has been real quiet since the bearded, puking camel showed up on our television screens.
