JJ for Heisman: Michigan hoops star Hunter Dickinson makes case for Wolverine QB

Michigan’s sophomore quarterback JJ McCarthy is set to make his first B1G start in Saturday’s matchup with Maryland. Ahead of the contest, Wolverine hoops star Hunter Dickinson joined the Big Noon Kickoff show to discuss his predictions for the game.

It was bold, to say the least.

“I think it will probably be a blowout honestly,” Dickinson said. “We’ve got J.J. McCarthy for Heisman. We’ve got Jim Harbaugh.”

Dickinson was then cut off by Reggie Bush saying: “Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. Are you predicting J.J. for Heisman?” To which Dickinson replied: “Yes,” sending the crowd into a frenzy.

It is respectable to have faith in your school’s quarterback, but it’s a little much considering Harbaugh’s offense centers around the running game. Maybe Dickinson knows something we don’t? I guess we will find out but his prediction is definitely a long shot.
