Saturday night in the Big House is always an incredible experience for any team who plays there and Hawaii will get a taste of what it’s like to play there when the Rainbow Warriors face the Wolverines Saturday night.
The last time the pair faced each other was in 2016 and Michigan won 63-3 in the Big House. So, what is it like for teams to come into the Big House, especially on a Saturday night?
An unforgettable experience according to Wolverines quarterback JJ McCarthy (Via The Michigan Insider):
“I want to say it’s like Friday Night Lights on steroids,” explained McCarthy. “I mean, it’s just no better feeling. You feel like you’re out there. Just backyard, Nazareth Academy, just with your boys having the best time in the world after school. And yeah, I mean, it’s amplified like crazy because of the scene that it’s in. But yeah, it just feels like Friday Night Lights.”
Anybody who has experienced high school football in Texas or even read the book “Friday Night Lights,” knows exactly what he is talking about. There are some high schools in the state of Texas that can outdraw even some college football programs.
The atmosphere is wild and the football is great and Hawaii gets to experience both Saturday night.
