JJ McCarthy is not having a great night in Glendale.

The Michigan QB has now thrown a pair of pick-6s in the game, putting the Wolverines in a huge hole against the TCU Horned Frogs.

McCarthy was intercepted by Dee Winters at their 29-yard line. Winters returned the INT all the way to put the Horned Frogs up 34-16 in the 3rd quarter.

McCarthy moved his performance to 15-of-23 for 252 yards, with 1 TD and 2 INT following his second pick-6 of the night. The Wolverines have turned the ball over 3 times, and have put themselves into a massive hole entering the 4th quarter.

This marks the 1st time in McCarthy’s Michigan career that he has thrown multiple INTs in a single game.

Paired with McCarthy’s struggles, the Wolverines are also being hurt by a lack of a run game. Usually the Wolverine’s strength, the team is being out-gained on the ground by the Horned Frogs.
