J.J. McCarthy took advantage of the fact that Michigan was playing at Nebraska in Week 5.

McCarthy used a corn celebration after scoring a first-half touchdown against the Cornhuskers. The Michigan quarterback pretended to eat a corn cob on following a 21-yard scamper for the score.

Saturday’s rushing score was McCarthy’s first of the season. Michigan and McCarthy have looked solid so far. McCarthy had 930 yards passing with 8 touchdowns heading into the matchup.

It’s safe to say that the back-to-back B1G champs have looked the part after the first four games of the season. The most points allowed by Michigan before Saturday’s game was seven.

McCarthy played in 14 games for the Wolverines last season. He had 2,719 yards passing with 27 total touchdowns a season ago.

The Nebraska defense is probably saying “aw shucks” after watching McCarthy run by.
