J.K. Dobbins could possibly see the field sooner than expected following a Baltimore Ravens roster move.

According to reports, the Ravens will be waiving veteran RB Mike Davis to make room for the return of Dobbins from the injured reserve list. Along with Lamar Jackson and Kenyan Drake, Davis has taken up the RB slack in Dobbins’ absence.

Dobbins has been rehabbing after successful arthroscopic surgery to treat lingering scar tissue issues caused by a torn ACL last season. Originally slated to be out for 4 to 6 weeks, the RB has healed faster than expected, according to the team.

Prior to his NFL career, Dobbins was a standout at Ohio State, where he was the first running back in school history to top the 2,000-yard rushing mark. With 4,459 yards rushing, Dobbins also holds the second all-time rushing yard spot as a Buckeye.
